Soulard Farmers Market

Soulard Farmers Market

Soulard Farmers' Market is located in the Historic Soulard neighborhood in South St. Louis City, just minutes from the Gateway Arch. It is situated on property that was donated to the city of St. Louis by Julia Soulard in the 1830s with the stipulation that its use would always be for a public market or it would revert back to the Soulard heirs. It is one of the oldest public farmers' markets still in operation in the nation. Many farmers have been selling at the market for several generations. Local residents, as well as visitors, enjoy the wide variety of fresh vegetables, meats, fresh flowers, bakery goods, cheeses and spices that can be found during the peak growing seasons. The Soulard Market Park is also the location of several events throughout the year.
