St. Louis homeless shelters preparing for artic-cold

St. Louis regional homeless shelters are expanding capacity in advance of an artic cold snap expected to drop temperatures to wind chills below 0 over the next several days.

The Director of Human Services for the city of St. Louis, Bill Siedhoff, said most shelter beds were already taken before the change in weather but they do have about 20 beds available for overflow.

The total number of people seekking short-term shelter in the city is expectd to top 1000.
